This spiral wound gasket is made by stainless steel 304 with graphite filled with carbon steel outer ring.
Such kind of gaskets usually take asbestos, graphite and PTFE as spacing material, it is wound spirally with high quality alloy or stainless steel tape of "V" or "W", shapecross-section. They are suitable for petroleum, chemical mechanical, power and ship building industries, static sealing at connecting joints of flanges of piping valves, pumps, pressurized vessels, manholes, towers, and handholes. Because of high mechanical strength, convenient application and good temperature. They are more suitable for the situations where temperature changes intensively and frequently.
